Rihanna’s “Needed Me” Claims #1 At Urban Radio For Fifth Week; Drake’s “Controlla” Top 5

While it cedes its rhythmic radio crown to Drake’s “Controlla,” Rihanna’s “Needed Me” extends its reign atop the Mediabase urban radio airplay chart.

Played ~4,550 times during the July 24-30 tracking period (-104), “Needed Me” earns a fifth week as urban’s #1 song.

Up two places, DJ Khaled’s “For Free (featuring Drake)” follows at #2. The song, which could be headed for #1 next week, received ~4,341 spins this week (+381).

Down one spot, Beyonce’s “Sorry” takes #3. It garnered ~4,260 weekly spins (+156).

A spin count of ~4,157 (+397) allows Drake’s “Controlla,” which was #6 last week, to move to #4 this week.

Drake’s “One Dance (featuring WizKid & Kyla)” slips two places to #5. It received ~3,835 weekly plays (-154).
