DJ Khaled’s “Major Key” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart; Jake Owen, Fantasia Follow

Shortly after making its debut late Thursday night, DJ Khaled’s “Major Key” soared to #1 on the US iTunes album sales chart.

It still holds that position as of 1:45AM ET Friday.

Khaled’s album, which features the hit singles “For Free (featuring Drake)” and “I Got The Keys (featuring Jay Z & Future)” is one of four newcomers inside the Top 5. Jake Owen’s new “American Love” follows at #2, while Fantasia’s debuting “The Definition Of…” occupies #3. Hillary Scott & The Scott Family’s “Love Remains” is #4.

Gucci Mane’s “Everybody Looking,” the lone holdover in the Top 5, is #5.

Beyonce’s #6 “Lemonade,” Bryan & Katie Torwalt’s #7 “Champion,” Descendents’ #8 “Hypercaffium Spazzinate,” Drake’s #9 “Views,” and Logic’s #10 “Bobby Tarantino” form the balance of the Top 10.

Specific sales projections for the week’s key new releases should emerge this weekend.
