Ratings: “Mr. Robot” Sinks To Series Low; “Suits” Also Slips

Hope that “Mr. Robot” would improve upon last week’s underwhelming season premiere performance did not materialize.

This week’s episode actually sank to live+same-day series lows in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Mr. Robot” posted a 0.30 adults 18-49 rating and drew just 799,000 total viewers. Easily series lows, the numbers trail the 0.43 rating and 1.04 million viewership mark drawn by last week’s season premiere.

While this week’s episode was positioned against multi-network coverage of the Republican National Convention, such broadcasts were not massive ratings draws. One, consequently, would have a hard time solely attributing this week’s soft performance to RNC competition.

Between last week’s premiere numbers and this week’s follow-up performance, it is clear the critical acclaim and fan buzz have not produced additional live+same-day interest in the Emmy-nominated series.

— Lead-in “Suits” was also down this week. Its 0.49 rating and 1.652 million viewership sum trail the 0.53 rating and 1.85 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s sixth season premiere.
