Ratings: “Girl Meets World” Adds Viewers, “Descendants: Wicked World” Airs Season Finale

While it slipped in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, Friday’s “Girl Meets World” enjoyed a week-to-week gain in total live+same-day viewership.

According to national L+SD data posted by Showbuzz, Friday’s “Girl Meets World” drew a 0.34 adults 18-49 rating, a 0.32 adults 18-34 rating and 1.82 million total viewers. Last week’s episode was stronger in the young adult demos (0.35 in A18-49, 0.37 in A18-34) but weaker in total viewership (1.73 million).

“Girl Meets World” was also down week-to-week in viewers 12-34, suggesting that the viewership growth may have been driven by the very young demographics. The episode was also up slightly with viewers over 50.

Disney Channel led into “GMW” with the first season finale of “Descendants: Wicked World.” Entitled “Neon Lights Ball,” the special, thirty-minute broadcast drew a 0.30 adults 18-49 rating, a 0.29 adults 18-34 rating and 1.62 million total viewers.

Last week, Disney confirmed that the “Wicked World” short/interstitial series was renewed for a second season.

— Disney’s Friday also included “Walk The Prank” (0.21, 0.22, 1.37 million this week vs. 0.24, 0.27, 1.47 million last week).
