Jason Aldean’s “A Little More Summertime” Ranks As Country Radio’s Most Added; Tim McGraw, Trent Harmon Follow

Jason Aldean’s “A Little More Summertime” predictably claims the top spot on this week’s country radio add board.

The follow-up to Aldean’s chart-topping “Lights Come On” was added by 64 Mediabase-monitored country stations this week; the count more than doubles that of the week’s next-most added song.

The substantial total was a given; not simply a new single from one of country’s biggest stars, “Summertime” received instant, “on the hour” airplay support in conjunction with its Friday premiere.

Picked up by another 30 stations, Tim McGraw’s “How I’ll Always Be” ranks as this week’s second-most added song.

“There’s A Girl,” the debut country radio effort from “American Idol” winner Trent Harmon, follows in third place with 24 adds. Chase Rice’s “Everybody We Know Does” grabs fourth-most added with 22 pickups, while an add count of 19 slots Randy Houser’s “Chasing Down A Good Time” at fifth-most added.

This week’s other notable country radio options: Eric Paslay’s “Angels In This Town” (18 adds, 6th), Toby Keith’s “A Few More Cowboys” (16 adds, 7th), Jana Kramer’s “Circles” (15 adds, 8th, tie), Maren Morris’ “80s Mercedes” (15 adds, 8th, tie) and Chris Janson’s “Holdin’ Her” (13 adds, 10th).
