Drake’s “One Dance” Officially Reaches #1 At Pop Radio

At the beginning of the July 10-16 tracking week, Republic’s radio promotions team declared that the goal was for Drake’s “One Dance (featuring WizKid & Kyla)” to top this week’s Mediabase pop chart.

Mission accomplished.

Up one place from last week’s position, Drake’s multi-format smash officially reaches #1 on the chart. It seizes the throne from The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya),” which spent the past three weeks on top.

“One Dance” received a format-leading ~17,352 spins during the weekly tracking period (-201). “Don’t Let Me Down,” which drops to #2, was played ~17,204 times (-588).

Sia’s “Cheap Thrills (featuring Sean Paul),” which was #4 last week, improves to #3 this week. It received ~17,088 tracking period spins (+2,071). “Cheap Thrills” is expected to reach #1 on next week’s chart.

Justin Timberlake’s former #1 “Can’t Stop The Feeling” falls one spot to #4 with ~16,142 spins (-846). Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For (featuring Rihanna)” holds at #5 with ~15,778 (+921).
