Update: Billboard officially confirms that ScHoolboy Q’s “Blank Face LP” debuts at #1 on the Top Album Sales chart.
Drake’s “Views,” however, earns a tenth non-consecutive week atop the Billboard 200 consumption chart.
“Blank Face” sold what Billboard reports as 52,000 pure US copies during the July 8-14 tracking week. That easily ranks as the week’s best pure sales figure.
The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) results in an opening week consumption total of 74,000 units. That is good enough for #2 on the Billboard 200.
Drake’s “Views,” which was #2 on last week’s chart, claims #1 on this week’s listing with 92,000 units.
“Views” had spent its first nine weeks at #1 on the chart. It slipped to #2 last week to make way for Blink-182’s “California” but is now back to #1 for a tenth week.
In the last 20 years, only nine other albums have spent ten weeks atop the Billboard 200.
“California” takes #3 on this week’s Billboard 200 with 37,000 units, while twenty one pilots’ “Blurryface” (#4, 36,000 units) and “Hamilton: An American Musical” (#5, 35,000 units) complete the Top 5.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Blank Face LP” sold about 52,189 US copies during the July 8-14 tracking week. Billboard’s final data will differ slightly, but the discrepancy will not affect the ultimate conclusion: “Blank Face” will be the clear leader on this week’s Top Album Sales chart.
