While the newly released Britney Spears and Katy Perry singles are commanding significant media attention, new albums also made their US iTunes debuts late Thursday night.
NEEDTOBREATHE’s “H A R D L O V E,” one of those new albums, quickly soared to the top of the store’s album sales chart.
The new album holds #1 on the chart as of 2:20AM ET. Dirty Heads’ new, self-titled release is #2, while Good Charlotte’s debuting “Youth Authority” is #3.
The Beatles’ classic “Abbey Road” (#4) and Hillsong UNITED’s “Of Dirt And Grace (Live From The Land)” (#5) complete the Top 5.
Other albums in the Top 10 include David Nail’s #6 “Fighter,” Steven Tyler’s #7 “We’re All Somebody From Somewhere,” Prince & The Revolution’s #8 “Purple Rain” soundtrack, blink-182’s #9 “California,” and Beyonce’s #10 “Lemonade.”
Sales projections for the week’s key new releases should be available later this weekend.
