Frenship + Emily Warren’s “Capsize” Impacts Pop Radio On August 16

Frenship + Emily Warren’s “Capsize” has been clicking with listeners on Spotify, where it registered 3.16 million US streams last week.

Columbia is hoping the song will also click with pop radio audiences.

The single was recently serviced to pop radio programmers, and it will formally impact the pop format on August 16.

“Capsize” has been in the Top 50 on US Spotify since the week ending June 9. It is also starting to build momentum on iTunes; Columbia touts that it is selling “1,600 singles per week” at the digital retailer.

Frenship is a Los Angeles-based duo consisting of James Sunderland and Brett Hite.

In addition to songs for Fifth Harmony, Jessie J, Shawn Mendes, Melanie Martinez and Becky G, Warren wrote The Chainsmokers’ number one pop radio hit “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya).”
