Interscope Confirms Pop, Rhythmic Radio Pushes For Fergie’s “MILF $” (Updated)

Update: Fergie’s “MILF $” is not simply slated for an official campaign at the pop radio format. Interscope’s promotional team has also added the song to its rhythmic radio roster.

While Fergie’s “MILF $” has made its presence felt on iTunes and YouTube/Vevo, it has not yet taken flight at pop radio. Only a handful of pop stations have played it more than once since its release this past Friday; only one — HD98.3 in Atlanta — has played it more than three times.

Interscope hopes to soon change that scenario; it confirms that Fergie’s new single will receive a formal push at pop radio.

No impact date had been announced at press time, but the song now officially appears alongside OneRepublic’s “Wherever I Go,” The 1975’s “The Sound,” DJ Snake & George Maple’s “Talk” (impacting 7/12) and X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” (impacting 7/19) on the label’s pop radio roster.

The video, which features cameos by a handful of celebrity moms, has generated 15 million views since its Friday premiere. The song, meanwhile, occupies the Top 5 on the US iTunes sales chart.
