The 1975’s “The Sound,” which reached the Top 20 at alternative radio, will soon be promoted at the hot adult contemporary and pop formats.
Interscope confirms that the “i like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it” single will go for Hot AC adds on June 13 and pop adds on June 14.
The song recently began receiving early airplay at Hot AC; it was the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s #68 song for the May 22-28 tracking period.
The 1975 previously charted at US pop radio with the #25-peaking “Chocolate” and #28-peaking “Girls.”
