Ratings: “KC Undercover,” “Liv And Maddie,” “BFW” Hit Viewership Lows Against Billboard Awards

Airing against a Billboard Music Awards ceremony that actually featured star Zendaya as a presenter, Disney Channel’s “KC Undercover” fell to a series viewership low Sunday.

Lead-out “Best Friends Whenever” and 9PM series “Liv And Maddie” also set viewership low marks.

According to cable data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “KC Undercover” drew a soft 0.17 adults 18-49 rating and just 1.12 million total viewers. Last week’s episode posted a 0.33 and reached 1.79 million.

Prior to this week’s episode, no original “KC” installment had drawn fewer than 1.29 million (set on December 6, 2015, and it was one of only two other installments to go below 1.5 million).

“KC” led into “Best Friends Whenever,” which drew a slightly lesser 0.16 adults 18-49 rating but a slightly stronger viewership sum of 1.23 million. The numbers trail the 0.26 rating and 1.63 million viewership mark drawn last week.

The previous “Best Friends Whenever” viewership low was held by the December 6, 2015 episode (same night as the aforementioned “KC Undercover” low), which drew 1.33 million.

9PM entry “Liv And Maddie” was Disney Channel’s top Sunday performer, but it still set a new low mark in viewers. It drew a 0.22 rating and 1.32 million, down from the 0.33 and 1.65 million drawn by the previous episode.

The previous “Liv And Maddie” viewership low of 1.53 million was set on that pesky December 6, 2015 evening.

In addition to the Billboard Awards, Sunday’s Disney shows faced competition from a highly rated NBA Playoffs game. “Liv And Maddie” also battled “Game Of Thrones” and “Fear The Walking Dead.”
