Adele’s “Send My Love” Headed For Pop Radio’s Top 50; Top 40 Possible

The third single from Adele’s “25” is quickly gaining traction at pop radio.

Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” which officially impacted this week, is on pace to land comfortably within the pop format’s Top 50. It may even enter the Top 40 on this week’s Mediabase pop chart.

“Send My Love” received 400 spins during the first four days of the May 15-21 tracking week. Up a massive 455.6% from the count at this point last week, the tally positions “Send My Love” at #44 on the Mediabase building chart.

The song is obviously not going to fall out of the Top 50 in the latter part of the week, and it has a legitimate chance of entering the Top 40.

With Justin Bieber’s building #11 “Love Yourself” due to be removed as a recurrent (as long as it stays below #10), “Send My Love” would only need to get to #41 on the building chart to make #40 on the official chart. It is only 148 spins away from Melanie Martinez’ building #41 “Pity Party,” which is decelerating this week. Troye Sivan’s building #42 “Youth” is also fading, while Tryon’s building #43 “Somebody To Love Me” (467 spins, +10.7%) is not gaining nearly as quickly as Adele’s song.
