Selena Gomez’ “Kill Em With Kindness” Definitely Heading Top 25, Possibly Top 20 at Pop

Selena Gomez’ “Kill Em With Kindness” will certainly enter the Top 25 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The question is now whether the fourth “Revival” can reach the Top 20 by the close of tracking.

“Kill Em With Kindness” received 1,475 spins during the first three days of the May 15-21 tracking week. Up 77.9% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “KEWK” at #22 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart.

Absent an imminent threat to its position — let alone four imminent threats — “Kill Em With Kindness” will have no trouble retaining its Top 25 position through the week’s conclusion. It, moreover, has a good chance of moving higher.

Assuming Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” which is #11 on the building chart, remains beneath the Top 10 through the end of the week, it will be removed as a recurrent/ That would bump “KEWK” up one place on the final chart.

“KEWK” may also have a shot of leapfrogging twenty one pilots’ building #21 “Ride” before the week concludes. “Ride” only has a sixty spin advantage after three days, and it is up a considerably lesser 20.9% week-to-week. If both songs were to roughly remain on their current trajectories, “Kill Em With Kindness” would end up with more spins by the end of the week.

“Kill Em With Kindness,” the follow-up to three straight Selena Gomez number ones, was #28 on last week’s official pop chart.
