Ratings: MTV’s “Faking It” Series Finale Dips In Adults 18-49, Gains Viewers

MTV’s “Faking It” came to a fairly quiet end Tuesday, drawing less than a 0.2 in adults 18-49 and fewer than 400,000 live+same-day viewers for its series finale.

It did, however, reach a larger audience than last week’s episode.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “Faking It” finale posted a 0.19 adults 18-49 rating and drew 396,000 total viewers. Last week’s episode drew a slightly stronger 0.20 rating but reached an audience of only 337,000.

While never a strong ratings performer for MTV, “Faking It” began to endure a particular struggle in the second half of its second season, which aired in the summer and fall of 2015.

The struggle continued in season three this spring, leading MTV to officially cancel the series.

— MTV led into Tuesday’s “Faking It” finale with “Awkward.” This week’s episode drew a 0.33 rating and 0.59 million total viewers; last week’s posted a 0.30 and 0.49 million.
