“Quantico” Stays on Sunday, “Notorious” Gets “Scandal” Slot; ABC Reveals 2016-17 Schedule

With season six of “Scandal” being held for midseason, ABC had a vacancy in the 9PM hour this fall.

As part of its 2016-17 schedule announcement, the network confirmed that new drama “Notorious” will fill the slot.

ABC’s other moves include slotting new series “Conviction” in the Monday at 10PM slot previously held by “Castle,” bumping “Agents of SHIELD” to 10PM on Tuesday to accommodate a two-hour comedy block (that will now begin with previous Wednesday series “The Middle”), and slotting new comedy “Speechless” at 8:30PM on Wednesday and new drama “Designated Survivor” at 10PM that night.

“Secrets And Lies” will return in the 9PM hour on Sundays, sandwiched between stationary timeslot occupants “Once Upon A Time” and “Quantico.” Friday will remain unchanged.

ABC’s fall schedule is below. Series not on the below list — including new shows like “Downward Dog,” “Imaginary Mary,” “Still Star-Crossed” and “Time After Time” and returning series like “Scandal,” “American Crime,” and “The Catch” — are designated for midseason (or at least later in the year).
