The CW’s “Containment” Ratings Hold Steady in Week Two; “The Flash” Rises

While down slightly in total viewership, episode two of The CW’s “Containment” matched the series premiere in the adults 18-49 demographic.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “Containment” drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating and 1.56 million total live+same-day viewers.

The previous week’s series opener drew a 0.5 and 1.67 million.

This week’s numbers are not particularly strong — though they comfortably top those routinely drawn by a handful of CW series — but the episode-to-episode retention is admirable.

The show’s cause was not hurt, however, by an improved performance from lead-in “The Flash.” Last week’s edition of The CW’s flagship series drew a 1.2 and 3.03 million; this week’s drew a 1.3 and 3.39 million.
