While Rihanna’s smash “Work (featuring Drake)” finally cedes its throne at the rhythmic format, it remains the #1 song at urban radio.
“Work” earns an eighth week atop the Mediabase urban chart courtesy the ~4,506 spins it received during the April 17-23 tracking period. The count trails last week’s mark by 363 spins but still keeps “Work” ahead of the pack.
Jeremih’s “oui,” the runner-up at urban, received ~4,408 spins during the official tracking week (+139). It was #3 last week.
Bryson Tiller’s “Exchange,” last week’s runner-up, slips to #3 with ~4,348 weekly plays (-6). Kevin Gates’ “2 Phones” rises one place to #4 on the strength of its ~3,598 spins (+10), while Luke Nasty’s “Might Be” slips to #5 with a spin count of ~3,470 (-334).
— “Work” does not, however, secure an eighth week at rhythmic radio. After seven weeks on top, it slips to #3 on this week’s chart (~5,010 spins, -696).
“oui” moves into the #1 position courtesy a weekly play total of ~5,351 (+322). Up one place, Belly’s “Might Not (featuring The Weeknd)” follows at #2 with ~5,214 plays (+230).
