Sunday’s “Fear The Walking Dead” declined from last week’s season premiere, but the episode still ranked as the night’s #1 show in adults 18-49. It was cable’s leader in total viewership.
According to national data first posted by Showbuzz, this week’s episode drew a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating and 5.58 million total viewers. Both series lows, the numbers trail those of the previous broadcast, which managed a 3.1 and 6.67 million.
The 2.5 nonetheless positioned “Fear The Walking Dead” as the night’s clear #1 show. NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” which took second place, posted a 1.8.
Clearly not as big as AMC’s “The Walking Dead” mothership, “Fear The Walking Dead” may also settle at a level well below what it drew during its brief first season. It would have to fall dramatically, however, to lose its status as a cable ratings hit.
“Fear The Walking Dead” has already been renewed for a third season.
