Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence” Leads Active Rock Radio For 7th Straight Week

“The Sound Of Silence” continues its dominant run at active rock radio. Based on airplay earned during the April 10-16 tracking week, Disturbed’s cover of the Simon and Garfunkel classic scores a seventh consecutive week at #1 on the Mediabase chart.

Since it has only been on the chart for 13 weeks total, it has now spent more than half its run at #1.

This week’s victory comes courtesy a weekly spin count of ~1,896. That trails last week’s mark by 125 but still keeps the song comfortably on top.

Up two places, Red Sun Rising’s “Emotionless” takes the runner-up spot this week. It received ~1,667 tracking week spins (+43).

3 Doors Down’s “In The Dark” slips a spot to #3 courtesy its ~1,661 weekly spins (-146), while Muse’s “Reapers” falls one spot to #4 with ~1,635 (-144).

Played ~1,580 times during the tracking week (+13), Bring Me The Horizon’s “Happy Song” holds at #5.
