“Empire” Ratings Fall Again, Show Wins Night Again

Another week-to-week ratings decline did not prevent FOX’s “Empire” from again dominating the Wednesday broadcast network ratings race.

Based on fast national data first posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating and 10.05 million total viewers. The numbers trail the 4.3 rating and 11.34 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s broadcast (and will even if “Empire” receives the upward adjustment in typically receives in the final report) but are comfortably above those posted by the rest of Wednesday’s broadcast network programs.

The night’s next-best performer in adults 18-49 was ABC’s “Modern Family” with a 2.2 The #2 show in viewers was “Criminal Minds,” which reached 8.90 million.

FOX led into “Empire” with the recently renewed “Rosewood.” The show, which drew a 1.4 and 5.20 million for its last original on 3/30, settled for a 1.2 and 4.42 million this week.
