Rachel Platten’s “Better Place” Repeats As Hot AC Radio’s Most Added Song

The support continues to grow for Rachel Platten’s “Better Place,” which again ranks as the most added song at hot adult contemporary radio.

Platten’s single, which topped last week’s Hot AC add board with 21 pickups, was added by another 16 Mediabase-monitored Hot AC stations this week.

The latest wave of support comes on the heels of the song’s entry into the Top 40 of the Mediabase Hot AC airplay chart. Spun 424 times during the April 3-9 tracking week, “Better Place” was #36 on this past week’s chart.

While it is far too early to assume “Better Place” will follow “Stand By You” and “Fight Song” in becoming Platten’s third straight #1 at Hot AC radio, it is impossible to deny that the song is resonating.

Picked up by 12 stations, Goo Goo Dolls’ “So Alive” grabs #2 on the weekly add board. Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold’ follows at #3 with 11 adds, while respective add counts of 7 position Zara Larsson & MNEK’s “Never Forget You,” Pentatonix’s “If I Ever Fall In Love (featuring Jason Derulo)” and ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” in a tie for fourth.

Each added by 6 stations, Flo Rida’s “My House,” Nick Fradiani’s “Get You Home,” Selena Gomez’ “Hands To Myself,” and The Strumbellas’ “Spirits” tie for seventh-most added.
