Rihanna’s “Needed Me” Reaches Top 40 at Urban Radio, Top 50 at Rhythmic Radio

As Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better” gains traction at pop radio, fellow “ANTI” track “Needed ME” is commanding the greater share of attention at urban radio.

It officially enters the Top 40 of this week’s Mediabase urban airplay chart. It concurrently grabs a Top 50 position at rhythmic.

Spun 650 times during the April 3-9 tracking week (+482), “Needed Me” enjoys a thirty one-place lift to #37 on the urban chart. It is one of three additions to urban’s Top 40; Kanye West’s “Famous” rises ten places to #32, while DLOW’s “Do It Like Me” climbs two places to #39.

“Needed Me,” meanwhile, earns the Mediabase rhythmic panel’s #50 position this week thanks to a tracking period spin count of 346 (+305). It was #108 last week.

Kat DeLuna’s “What A Night (featuring Jeremih)” (#42, +9), Drake’s “One Dance (featuring Wizkid & Kyla),” (#43, new), Jason Derulo’s “If It Ain’t Love” (#44, +20), Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” (#48, +5), and Nick Jonas’ “Close (featuring Tove Lo)” (#49, +6) also earn Top 50 positions at rhythmic this week.

— Rihanna’s “Work (featuring Drake)” remains the #1 song at both urban and rhythmic radio.
