Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better” Reaches Pop Radio’s Top 40; Halsey’s “Colors” Re-Enters

Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better” officially earns a Top 40 position on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The single, which was last week’s #61 song, improves to #38 on this week’s chart. It received 939 spins during the April 3-9 tracking week (+701).

“Kiss It Better” is the pop-leaning follow-up to Rihanna’s “Work (featuring Drake).” Fellow “ANTI” track “Needed Me” has emerged as the preferred post-“Work” option at the urban and rhythmic radio formats.

— “Kiss It Better” is the week’s only new addition to the Top 40.

Another song does, however, re-enter this week.

Halsey’s “Colors,” which first reached the Top 40 last month, returns at #39. Up three places from last week’s position, it received 918 weekly spins (+8).
