MTV’s “Awkward” Rises Slightly From Last Week’s Ratings Low; “Faking It” Steady

In comparison to its historical live+same-day ratings standard, MTV’s “Awkward” had another rough night Tuesday.

In comparison to last week’s series low performance, “Awkward” was narrowly up in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Showbuzz says the MTV comedy posted a 0.28 adults 18-49 rating and attracted 0.52 million total viewers for this week’s episode.

The numbers best the 0.25 and 0.47 million drawn by last week’s broadcast but are substantially below what the show drew prior to the ongoing fifth season.

Lead-out “Faking It” followed with a 0.19 rating and 0.37 million total viewers this week. The adults 18-49 rating matches last week’s number, the viewership number is roughly on par (it is down slightly when rounded to the nearest thousand rather than ten thousand).

Like “Awkward,” “Faking It” has endured a marked downturn in live+same-day viewership since the premiere of its summer 2015 half-season.
