Fitz And The Tantrums’ “HandClap” Repeats As Alternative Radio’s Most Added Song

For the second straight week, Fitz And The Tantrums’ “HandClap” claims the top spot on the alternative radio add board.

The song, which erupted with 33 adds last week, was picked up by another 15 Mediabase-monitored alternative stations this week. The count easily earns “HandClap” a second consecutive most added honor.

Lewis Del Mar’s “Loud(y),” the week’s next-most added song, was picked up by 8 stations this week.

Each added by 5 stations, Cage The Elephant’s “Trouble” and Weezer’s “King Of The World” tie for third place. With add counts of 4 each, four songs — Kaleo’s “Way Down We Go,” The 1975’s “The Sound,” AWOLNATION’s “Woman Woman,” and Jack Garratt’s “Worry” — tie for fifth.

A tie also emerges for ninth-most added. Bishop’s “River,” Broods’ “Free,” Catfish And The Bottlemen’s “Soundcheck,” Finish Ticket’s “Color,” New Beat Fund’s “No Type,” and Silversun Pickups’ “Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance)” each received 3 adds this week.
