Keith Urban’s “Wasted Time” Erupts As Country Radio’s Most Added; Jason Aldean Follows

Superstar singles that entered the market with ample industry enthusiasm and instant, launch day support from the iHeartMedia network, Keith Urban’s “Wasted Time” and Jason Aldean’s “Lights Come On” predictably claim the top two spots on this week’s country radio add board.

“Wasted Time,” which ranks as most added, was picked up by a whopping 129 Mediabase-monitored stations in conjunction with this week’s official impact.

While not quite as substantial, the 92 Mediabase-monitored adds earned by Aldean’s “Lights Come On” are certainly nothing at which to sneeze. The count is more than twice that received by the week’s third-most added song.

Carrie Underwood’s “Church Bells,” that song, received 41 adds this week. Tucker Beathard’s “Rock On,” which has been selected for the iHeartRadio “On The Verge” program, follows with 25 weekly pickups.

Added by 18 stations, Kenny Chesney’s “Noise” earns fifth place on the weekly add board.

This week’s other notable country radio options: Jake Owen’s “American Country Love Song” (13 adds, 6th), Eric Church’s “Record Year” (11 adds, 7th, tie), Kelsea Ballerini’s “Peter Pan” (11 adds, 7th, tie), Randy Houser’s “Song Number 7” (11 adds, 7th, tie), and Jana Kramer’s “Said No One Ever” (7 adds, 10th).
