Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence” Claims #1 at Active Rock Radio For 5th Week

The reign continues for Disturbed’s cover of “The Sound Of Silence,” which scores a fifth week atop the Mediabase active rock airplay chart.

“Sound” earned a format-leading ~2,146 spins during the March 27-April 2 tracking week. Up 11 spins from the previous week’s count, the tally keeps Disturbed’s cover just over 300 spins ahead of its nearest competitor.

“The Sound Of Silence,” notably, has only been on the active rock chart for eleven weeks. It has therefore spent nearly half its tenure at #1.

Spun ~1,841 times during the March 27-April 2 tracking week (+59), 3 Doors Down’s “In The Dark” holds at #2.

The balance of the Top 5 is also stationary: Muse’s “Reapers” holds at #3 with ~1,794 weekly spins (+76), while Bring Me The Horizon’s “Happy Song” (~1,526, +89) and Red Sun Rising’s “Emotionless” (~1,521, +96) respectively take #4 and #5.
