James Bay’s “Let It Go” Certified Platinum In The United States

While not yet listed on the official RIAA website, news has emerged that James Bay’s “Let It Go” has earned a platinum certification in the United States.

Label Republic Records announced the news this week.

The platinum certification confirms a US unit total of at least 1 million. Under the terms of the digital singles program, one unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Showcased during Bay and Tori Kelly’s show-stealing Grammy awards duet, “Let It Go” has performed well on the US charts. It is currently inside the Top 5 at hot adult contemporary and up to #35 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Let It Go” is one of two RIAA-certified James Bay singles. “Hold Back The River,” the other, is officially gold (500,000 units).
