While not yet announced on the RIAA’s official website, news has emerged that Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” has been certified 5X platinum in the United States.
The certification, first noted by Billboard, confirms a US unit total of at least 5 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.
In reaching 5X platinum, “Sorry” becomes the most-certified track from Bieber’s “Purpose.”
Lead single “What Do You Mean?” is currently 4X platinum, while third single “Love Yourself” is 2X platinum. “Where Are U Now,” which was first promoted as a Skrillex & Diplo single, is also 2X platinum, while instant gratification track “I’ll Show You” is platinum.
