Gwen Stefani’s “This Is What The Truth Feels Like” Still Pacing For #1; Sales Projection Slightly Raised

We are midway through the March 18-24 tracking week, and Gwen Stefani’s “This Is What The Truth Feels Like” remains on track to win the weekly US album sales race.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Truth” is now on pace for an opening week sales total of 70-75,000. Up slightly from the initial 68-73,000 forecast, such a tally would provide the album with a comfortable margin over the best-performing new and holdover releases.

“This Is What The Truth Feels Like” would become Stefani’s first solo album to win a weekly US sales race.

The album is poised to become her first solo #1 on the Billboard 200, which now ranks albums based on combined activity from sales, TEA (track streams/10) and SEA (track streams/1500). “This Is What The Truth Feels Like” will not receive a huge amount of activity from track sales and streams, but it should still easily claim the chart’s #1 spot.
