Albums with connections to NBC’s “The Voice” presently hold the top spots on the US iTunes album sales chart.
Presently leading the way is Gwen Stefani’s “This Is What The Truth Feels Like.” The album is Stefani’s first solo studio release in more than nine years.
Stefani coached on seasons seven and nine of NBC’s hit reality series.
Jordan Smith, who won the ninth season of “The Voice,” is currently #2 on the album sales chart. Smith occupies the position with his debut studio album “Something Beautiful.”
Also in the Top 5: Kane Brown’s “Chapter 1 – EP” (#3), “Southern Family” (#4), and Iggy Pop’s “Post Pop Depression.”
iTunes only represents one avenue through which individuals can purchase albums; there is no guarantee the aforementioned albums will hold Top 5 positions on the overall weekly sales cart.
Specific projections — in terms of actual sales figures and likely positions on that overall chart — should emerge in the coming days.
