MTV’s “Faking It” Returns With Series Low Viewership; “Awkward” Falls to Premiere Low

Returning to Tuesdays did not right the course for MTV’s “Faking It.” Tuesday’s third season premiere set a series low in total viewership.

According to Showbuzz, the episode drew a 0.1 adults 18-49 rating and 0.28 million total viewers. The numbers are down sharply from those of the season two premiere, which delivered a 0.5 and 1.04 million in September 2014.

Airing in August 2015, the season 2B premiere also drew considerably stronger numbers. It scored a 0.5 rating and 0.92 million total viewers.

Tuesday’s “Faking It” led out of the season 5B premiere of “Awkward.” The episode drew a 0.3 rating and 0.52 million total viewers.

While not the least-watched episode on record, the broadcast was easily the series’ least-watched season or midseason premiere.
