The lead single from Blake Shelton’s “If I’m Honest” and fourth single from Luke Bryan’s “Kill The Lights” both received mammoth quantities of support from country radio programmers this week.
They respectively rank as most added and second most added.
Aided by instant, launch day support from the iHeartMedia network and the overall excitement one would expect for a lead single from one of the biggest names in country music, Shelton’s “Came Here To Forget” earned adds from 131 Mediabase-monitored country stations.
Neither a lead single nor the beneficiary of promotional launch day support, Bryan’s “Huntin’, Fishin’ And Lovin’ Every Day” still proved immensely (and immediately) resonant. It was added by 112 stations this week.
Both songs were making their official radio impacts.
Picked up by 35 stations, Granger Smith’s “If The Boot Fits” ranks as third-most added. Jake Owen takes fourth thanks to the 31 adds for “American Country Love Song,” while Sam Hunt’s “Make You Miss Me” earns fifth on the strength of its 18 pickups.
This week’s other notable country radio options: Randy Houser’s “Song Number 7” (16 adds, 6th), Chris Janson’s “Power Of Positive Drinkin'” (13 adds, 7th), Cam’s “Mayday” (8 adds, 8th, tie), Eric Church’s “Record Year” (8 adds, 8th, tie), Kane Brown’s “Used To Love You Sober” (8 adds, 8th, tie), and Thomas Rhett’s “T-Shirt” (8 adds, 8th, tie).
