Meghan Trainor’s “NO” Erupts As Hot AC Radio’s Most Added

A significant number of hot adult contemporary stations immediately said “yes” to Meghan Trainor’s new single “NO.”

The support establishes the lead “Thank You” single as the week’s most added song.

“NO” was added by a whopping 63 Mediabase-monitored Hot AC stations in conjunction with this week’s official impact. One of the most impressive add counts in recent memory, the tally nearly triples that of the week’s next-most added song.

Taylor Swift’s “New Romantics,” that song, won adds from another 22 stations this week.

An add count of 14 positions Kelly Clarkson’s “Piece By Piece” at #3 on the add board, while Gwen Stefani’s “Make Me Like You” takes fourth on the strength of 12 adds. Each picked up by 9 stations, Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” and Ruth B’s “Lost Boy” tie for fifth-most added.

This week’s other notable Hot AC options: Ellie Goulding’s “Something In The Way You Move” (8 adds, 7th), Shawn Hook’s “Sound Of Your Heart” (7 adds, 8th, tie), ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” (7 adds, 8th, tie), American Authors’ “Pride” (6 adds, 10th, tie), Daughtry’s “Torches” (6 adds, 10th, tie), Elle King’s “America’s Sweetheart” (6 adds, 10th, tie), Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home (featuring Ty Dolla $ign)” (6 adds, 10th, tie), Lady Gaga’s “Til It Happens To You” (6 adds, 10th, tie), and X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” (6 adds, 10th, tie).
