Alicia Vikander Wins Supporting Actress Oscar; Mark Rylance Wins For Supporting Actor

The 88th Annual Academy Awards ceremony has officially revealed the winners of the Supporting Acting categories.

The year’s Best Supporting Actress is Alicia Vikander, who earns the Oscar for her work in “The Danish Girl.” The breakthrough star beat out Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rooney Mara, Kate Winslet, and Rachel McAdams.

Mark Rylance, meanwhile, bested betting favorite Sylvester Stallone for the Best Supporting Actor trophy. The “Bridge Of Spies” actor also beat out Mark Ruffalo, Christian Bale, and Tom Hardy.
