Ratings: “Superstore” Improves For Season Finale, “Telenovela” Also Up

The circumstances for Monday’s “The X-Files” and Monday’s “Superstore” were very similar.

Both were season finale episodes. Unlike the previous week’s broadcasts, they were not faced with the burden of challenging the Grammy Awards.

“The X-Files” posted a week-to-week ratings gain. So, too, did “Superstore.”

Per Nielsen fast national data, the NBC comedy drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 4.637 million viewers for Monday’s episode. The previous week’s broadcast posted a 1.2 with 3.889 million.

Aided by the improved lead-in — and its own freedom from the Grammys — “Telenovela” was also up this week. Its 0.9 rating and 2.926 million viewership marks, while not independently strong, best the 0.7 rating and 2.333 million viewership sum drawn last week.

— The NBC comedies led into “The Biggest Loser” (1.1 with 3.704 million viewers at 9PM, 1.2 with 4.069 million at 10PM).
