“Uptown Funk” Wins Record Of The Year; Grammys Oddsmakers Go 3-For-4

Like the past few ceremonies, the oddsmakers went three-for-four when it came to picking the Big Four Grammy Award winners.

Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (Bruno Mars),” the overwhelming betting favorite, won for Record Of The Year. Taylor Swift’s “1989” predictably won Album Of The Year, while Meghan Trainor made good on the oddsmakers’ expectations by winning Best New Artist.

The night’s lone upset — and it was not a major one — came in the Song Of The Year race. While the lines favored a win for Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” the actual award went to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”

“Uptown Funk” also earned the trophies for Best Remix and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
