Ratings Update: Final broadcast data confirms Friday’s “The Originals” was the series’ lowest-rated and least-watched episode yet.

It drew a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating and 797,000 total viewers. Down from the 0.4 and 921,000 posted by the previous episode, the numbers rank as series lows.

Lead-in “The Vampire Diaries” tied a series low in adults 18-49 (0.4) and slipped to a new low in total viewership (1.049 million).

Steady in its first two Friday broadcasts, “The Originals” endured a loss in adults 18-49 this week. That loss resulted in a series low performance.

Per Nielsen fast national data, Friday’s “The Originals” drew a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating and 802,000 total viewers. Down from the 0.4 rating and 921,000 viewer mark posted by last week’s episode, the numbers collectively amount to the show’s worst performance yet.

The 0.3 rating is a new series low, while the 802,000 viewership mark ties the low posted by the November 19, 2015 episode.

Lead-in “The Vampire Diaries,” which last week turned in its worst performance on record, lost viewers this week. It held at its series low in adults 18-49.

Fast national data says the episode drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.083 million total viewers. Last week’s broadcast drew a 0.4 with 1.093 million.
