The midseason premieres of ABC’s “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder” trailed the respective fall finales in adults 18-49 and total viewership.
They were down sharply from last year’s midseason premieres.
Per Nielsen final data, “Scandal” posted a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating and reached 6.955 million total viewers. The fall finale posted a 2.4 and reached 8.132 million viewers; last year’s midseason premiere posted a 3.6 with 10.48 million.
“HTGAWM” followed with a 1.8 rating and 5.822 million total viewers. The numbers are down from the 2.3/7.187m posted by the fall finale and the 3.1 and 9.18 million drawn by last year’s midseason premiere.
While it was also down, veteran “Grey’s Anatomy” held up better than the latter parts of TGIT. It drew a 2.4 and 8.282 million at 8PM.
The fall finale drew a 2.5 and 8.498 million, while the 2015 midseason premiere drew a 2.8 and 8.71 million.
