Last week, Luke Bryan’s “Home Alone Tonight (featuring Karen Fairchild)” edged Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In A Small Town” to claim #1 on the Mediabase country radio singles chart.
This week, thanks to gains in airplay and audience impressions, “Home Alone Tonight” retains the top spot.
“Home Alone Tonight” is the third straight number one from Luke Bryan’s “Kill The Lights” — and second straight multi-week number one.
Previous single “Strip It Down” spent two October weeks at #1 on the Mediabase listing, while lead album single “Kick The Dust Up” ruled for one week this past summer.
The leader in chart points, “Home Alone Tonight” also ranks as the most-played and most-heard country song for the January 31-February 6 tracking week.
“Home Alone Tonight” received ~8,739 Mediabase-monitored spins (+407) and ~63.560 million Mediabase-monitored audience impressions during the official tracking period.
Last week, “Home Alone Tonight” led in audience impressions but not spins; the aforementioned “Break Up In A Small Town” received a slightly greater quantity of airplay.
Number two last week, Hunt’s song falls to #3 on this week’s chart. Granger Smith’s “Backroad Song,” which was #3 last week, ascends to the runner-up spot this week.
Making its first Top 5 appearance, Kelsea Ballerini’s “Dibs” rises two places to #4 on this week’s Mediabase chart. Thomas Rhett’s former multi-week #1 “Die A Happy Man” slips two places to #5.
