DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” Enters Hot AC Radio’s Top 20; BØRNS Joins Top 30

Insofar as it crowns a new #1 in the form of Rachel Platten’s “Stand By You,” this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart is certainly not a completely uneventful one.

It is, however, sans many notable moves.

twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” reaches the Top 5 on this week’s chart, but there are no new additions to the Top 10 or Top 15.

Only one song pierces the Top 20. DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean,” that song, rises one place to a new peak of #20.

“Cake,” which concurrently goes Top 10 at pop, received ~1,694 Hot AC spins during the January 31-February 6 tracking week (+353).

The Top 25 is also without a new entry, although One Direction’s “Perfect” does re-enter that portion of the chart a new peak. It rises three places to #23.

The Top 30, meanwhile, welcomes a lone newcomer. Up four places, BØRNS’ “Electric Love” takes #27 on this week’s chart. It earned ~773 tracking week plays (+185).
