Ratings: CW’s “Vampire Diaries” Falls To Series Low, “Originals” Steady (Updated)

Final Ratings Update: On a live+same-day basis, Friday’s “The Vampire Diaries” was the series’ lowest-rated and least-watched episode yet.

Per Nielsen final data, the episode drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.093 million total viewers. Both numbers represent series lows.

They also trail the 0.5 and 1.230 million delivered by last week’s time period premiere.

“TVD” led into “The Originals,” which drew a 0.4 rating and 921,000 total viewers. Last week’s “Originals” drew the same rating but reached 950,000.

Barring an upward adjustment in the final national report, Friday’s “The Vampire Diaries” will rank as the series’ worst performer yet in adults 18-49.

It would be the series’ second-worst performer in total viewership.

Per Nielsen fast national data, Friday’s episode drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.137 million total viewers.

The numbers trail the 0.5 rating and 1.230 million viewership mark posted by last week’s episode, which marked the show’s premiere in its new Friday timeslot.

— Lead-out “The Originals” followed with a 0.4 rating and 926,000 total viewers this week. The demo rating matches that of last week’s episode; the viewership mark is down from the time period premiere’s 950,000 figure.
