The first taste of Meghan Trainor’s upcoming album “Thank You” is due in just over one month.
Speaking at a New York City event in support of “Sing To Me,” the new memoir from Epic Records boss Antonio “LA” Reid, Trainor revealed that lead single “No” is scheduled for a March 4 release.
“[No is] a big anthem for ladies about telling a dude, ‘Nah, I’m good—I’m out here on my own, and I’m good with it,’” reveals Trainor in an interview with Fuse. “The scene is me in a club, and the dude comes up to me and I go, ‘No no no. I don’t need your hands all over me. I’m good. I’m gonna dance on my own with my girls.’”
Ricky Reed produced the track, which will reportedly be more urban-leaning than the singles released on debut album “Title.”
The artist, whose four official “Title” singles all attained multi-platinum status, is up for Best New Artist at the February 15 Grammy Awards.
