“Hamilton” Cast To Perform Via Satellite At Grammy Awards

Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of his Broadway smash “Hamilton” will perform at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

Per an official Recording Academy/CBS press release, the collective will deliver a live-via-satellite performance from the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

The performance marks the eighth time in history that a musical theater act will be featured during the Grammys. It is the first such performance since the “American Idiot” cast performed in 2010.

“The ‘Hamilton’ cast and crew are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this year’s GRAMMY Awards,” said Miranda, “Hamilton” creator, writer and lead performer. “The music community’s response to our cast album has been overwhelming and we’re honored to be a part of such a special night. To perform from our home at the Richard Rodgers Theatre is a dream come true.”

The “Hamilton” cast joins previously confirmed performers Adele, James Bay, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd.

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled for February 15.
