Last week, NBC executives watched “Shades Of Blue” fall by 28% from its promising premiere rating.
This week, they are likely breathing a sigh of relief. Based on preliminary data, “Shades” managed a slight gain for its third episode.
Nielsen’s fast national data reveals a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 6.933 million viewership for Thursday’s episode.
Last week’s “Shades” posted a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and 6.641, which trailed the premiere’s 1.8 rating and 8.550 million viewer mark.
Particularly notable about the uptick is that it came despite a loss for lead-in “The Blacklist.” Last week’s “Blacklist” posted a 1.6 with 7.472 million viewers, while this week’s drew a 1.5 with 7.295 million.
NBC’s night opened with the finale of “Heroes Reborn” (1.0, 3.790 million). It was roughly on par with last week’s performance (1.0, 3.834 million).
