Ratings: FX’s “American Horror Story: Hotel” Rises For Finale

While it did not return to its early-season levels, FX’s “American Horror Story: Hotel” did enjoy a sizable week-to-week uptick for its finale.

Per Nielsen Live+Same-Day cable data, Wednesday’s “AHS: Hotel” drew a 1.15 adults 18-49 rating and 2.245 million total viewers. The numbers top the 0.85 rating and 1.836 million total viewership mark posted by last week’s episode.

On a live+same-day basis, Wednesday’s episode was the most watched installment since the December 2 episode (2.31 million).

On the other hand, Wednesday’s live+same-day audience was also the smallest ever recorded by an “American Horror Story” finale.

But insofar as “AHS: Hotel” receives a considerably greater boost from DVR viewership than the early seasons, that statistic will doubtfully hold in the live+3 and live+same-day reports. At the very least, it should leapfrog the “AHS: Asylum” finale (2.29 million) when all is said and done.
