Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” Crosses 1 Million US Sales, Sets Gomez’ Radio Songs Peak

Thanks to a six-figure US sales performance during the December 25-31 tracking week, Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” moved within striking distance of the 1 million cumulative mark.

The single crossed that mark during the January 1-7 tracking week.

While a specific weekly sales total was not available at press time, formal confirmation has arrived that “Same Old Love” indeed reached 1 million total sales during the recently concluded tracking week.

“Same Old Love” is the second straight seven-figure seller from Gomez’ “Revival.” Lead album single “Good For You (featuring A$AP Rocky)” crossed that mark in September 2015.

“Good For You” is certified platinum under the RIAA’s digital singles program, which accounts for digital sales and streams. Despite obviously being eligible, “Same Old Love” has not yet been certified.

— The million sales milestone is not the only weekly achievement for “Same Old Love.” The single also reached #1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard pop airplay charts and the Top 10 on both the Mediabase and Billboard rhythmic charts.

It, moreover, becomes Gomez’ highest-peaking hit ever on the Billboard Radio Songs chart.

Up two places, “Same Old Love” takes #3 on the chart, which ranks songs based on weekly audience impressions from across all radio formats.

“Good For You,” which previously ranked as Gomez’ top Radio Songs performer, peaked at #4.
