Ratings: NBC’s “Superstore” Falls This Week, “Telenovela” Sinks

After posting improved numbers for last week’s official time period premieres, NBC’s “Superstore” and “Telenovela” suffered losses this week.

Per Nielsen Fast National data, Monday’s “Superstore” posted a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and reached 5.350 million total viewers. Lead-out “Telenovela” drew a 1.0 with 3.622 million.

Last week’s “Superstore” drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and 6.036 million total viewers, while “Telenovela” posted a 1.5 with 4.563 million.

While the “Telenovela” decline is particularly concerning on paper, it may have at least a partial explanation: the College Football Championship. ESPN’s broadcast of the big game drew a mammoth audience, and that almost surely had some sort of impact on viewership.

— NBC’s Monday also included “The Biggest Loser” (1.1, 3.488 million).
