Ratings: ABC’s “Galavant” Suffers Big Decline

Sunday’s back-to-back set of “Galavant” episodes, which aired against the Golden Globes, overlapped with the end of the Packers-Redskins game and did not feature premiere curiosity buzz, suffered substantial losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Per Nielsen fast national data, the episodes averaged a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating and 2.413 million total viewers during the 8-9PM hour.

The numbers are down markedly from the 0.9 and 3.197 million viewership mark posted by last week’s pair of episodes. Those numbers were themselves weak by the show’s already modest standard, with the adults 18-49 mark tying a series low and the viewership mark representing a new one.

While “Galavant” has a passionate fan following and support from ABC brass, its live+same-day ratings are undeniably weak.
